TimeTTracker MX2, Special Edition for QuickBooks® Users‡ is an Intuit QuickBooks data-integrated software package designed to keep track of time, money, and vehicle usage with a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA). Record your own (or your employees') time, cash flow, and vehicle mileage with a PDA device wherever you are, return to your office and automatically upload all "mobile" data into QuickBooks with a few mouse clicks - no re-typing, no chaos, no hassles. TimeTTracker MX2, Special Edition for QuickBooks® Users is not just another QuickBooks data exchange plug-in, added to an external application as an afterthought. Our multiple-award winning desktop (Windows) and Personal Digital Assistant (Windows Mobile) tracking package has been fundamentally re-engineered not only to closely work WITH QuickBooks, but also work similarly TO QuickBooks.

  • Establish a direct, on-demand connection to any open QuickBooks company file, or specify what company file to work with without QuickBooks even active.
  • Synchronize all relevant QuickBooks lists to TimeTTracker MX2 on your desktop and your PDA in less than 30 seconds.
  • See your vendors, items, jobs, etc. in a familiar tree-structured drop-down select format.
  • Get filtering and automation according to QuickBooks accounting rules. For example, when entering an item line for a bill, it does not make sense to enter a discount or a sales tax. TimeTTracker MX2 knows that, so it will not show you irrelevant or incorrect items.
  • Use multiple, unlimited independent timers to record time slips, and multiple, unlimited expense and item lines (splits) to record cash flow appropriately.
  • Have QuickBooks itself fully validate your TimeTTracker MX2 data, graphically see whether all records are correct, and upload everything to your company file directly.
  • Have TimeTTracker MX2 automatically archive or delete uploaded records to eliminate the possibility of duplicate transactions and reconcile-time "bug hunting".
  • Optionally, disseminate QuickBooks information across your organization over e-mail, FTP, HTTP, etc. using XML files.

No Sacrifices of Ease of Use and Data Safety

An accounting application closely integrated with QuickBooks does not have to sacrifice ease of use. All of fast-track and direct-entry TimeTTracker MX2 features have been retained, making TimeTTracker MX2, Special Edition for QuickBooks® Users possibly easier to use than a full-fledged accounting package. TimeTTracker MX2 will allow you enter, edit, and review your time, expenses, and mileage records in a notepad-like manner, without having to jump across different account registers and having to deal with dissimilar interfaces for various transaction types.

An accounting application closely integrated with QuickBooks does not have to sacrifice data safety. TimeTTracker MX2, Special Edition for QuickBooks® Users does not manipulate your QuickBooks company files directly. Once a record needs to be uploaded to QuickBooks or customer/job information needs to be acquired, TimeTTracker MX2 employs digitally-signed QuickBooks layer developed and licensed by Intuit to "ask for", or "offer" the data. QuickBooks takes over, and validates, stores, and manages your company files. Effectively, using TimeTTracker MX2, Special Edition for QuickBooks® Users is about as safe as entering data directly in QuickBooks. You, of course, do not need to worry about this all - it all happens behind the scenes.

Digital Code Signing Technology

A number of mechanisms combine to ensure that an application integrated with QuickBooks remains tamperproof and that a small-business owner stays in control over access to company QuickBooks files. Microsoft Authenticode digital code-signing technology, verified by a third-party Certification Authority (Comodo Trusted Certificate Services), has been integrated into TimeTTracker MX2, Special Edition for QuickBooks Users to ensure that it has not been tampered with, and is not a rogue application masquerading as a legitimate software package. QuickBooks checks for the existence and validity of a digital code signature each and every time an application is invoked to access QuickBooks.

Extras - Reports and Charts

How about extra features not supported by QuickBooks itself?

Integrated advanced report generator allows you to create 100% custom report templates (down to every single field, piece of text and image). Put together custom invoices, lists, reports, summaries, or whatever might have you. Apply a report to a single QuickBooks Name, a set of Names for a given Customer:Job, or an entire period spanning multiple jobs. The things that this engine cannot do are few. Define mathematical formulas, variables, logic statements, or inline charts. Generate HTML, PDF, bitmaps, JPGs, TIFF, RTF, plain text, Excel worksheets, XML, WYSIWYG Preview, or send your report directly to any local or network printer. Save your layout definitions and rerun them with one click.

Integrated chart generator allows you to define what data to use, what elements to summarize by, and what data values to aggregate, and generate over 15 types of 2D/3D charts, including Pie, Bar, Area, Doughnut, Pyramid, and Surface. Each chart is rendered in detail on your screen, and can be customized when it comes to color palettes, axis, 3D rotation angles, legends, fonts, patterns, styles, and grid lines. Included inline Data Editor can be used to touch up the data used for a chart, and included inline Annotation Tool can be used to add comments, text boxes, balloons with text, arrows, and pictures. Print your charts out directly, save them as bitmaps, or as raw data. Save your chart definitions and rerun them with one click.
